All-Star Voting: Derrick Rose Remains in a Close Battle with Stephen Curry

Yesterday, we were given the second returns on the NBA All-Star game fan vote.  Currently, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are leading their respective conferences in fan votes which would make them captains of their own teams.  One player they could be picking from is Chicago native Derrick Rose.

After the first returns, Rose was behind Stephen Curry for most votes amongst Western Conference guards by 95,025 votes.  Curry has slightly increased his lead since then as he now leads Rose by 107,318 votes in a close race.  This season has been arguably Rose’s best and most consistent since his 2011 MVP campaign. He is averaging 18.9 PPG, shooting 49% from the field and is currently shooting a career best (by far) 46% from behind the 3-point line.

This year has seen Rose drop a 50-point game and receive MVP chants in his home city of Chicago, could it also see him become an All-Star starter? Starters will be determined by the rest of the fan voting which counts for 50%, current player voting counting for 25% and select media member voting which counts for the last 25%.

If you want to vote, you can view all the possible ways to do so HERE.

The rest of the second returns can be seen below.
