Left tackle Charles Leno Jr. and center Cody Whitehair have both been named to the NFC Pro Bowl team to replace Max Unger and Terron Armstead of the Saints. Leno and Whitehair join what is an impressive Chicago Bears presence in the Pro Bowl. Six of their teammates have already been named Pro Bowlers including Bears QB Mitch Trubisky who is the replacement for Rams QB Jared Goff.
The other Bears to receive a Pro Bowl invitation are S Eddie Jackson, RS Tarik Cohen, CB Kyle Fuller, DE Akiem Hicks and OLB Khalil Mack. Mack will be sitting out the Pro Bowl with a knee injury. This is the teams highest number of Pro Bowlers since they also had eight in the 2007, following the 2006 season. Quite a turnaround from last year when the team didn’t have a single player make the Pro Bowl roster.
For those excited about the Bears presence in the Pro Bowl, you can also watch Trubisky and Hicks take part in the skills showdown tomorrow evening.
