Want Free Beer for a Year? All You Have to Do Is Kick a 43-Yard Field Goal

Cody Parkey has received a lot of hate in the Chicagoland area after his 43-yard game winning field goal attempt bounced off the left upright and the crossbar before falling to the Soldier Field grass.  Parkey made headlines previously following the Bears week 10 matchup against the Lions when he hit the upright on four different kick attempts (2 PATs and 2 FGs). Sunday’s missed kick held a lot more weight since it cost the Bears their first playoff win since the divisional round of the 2010 NFL Playoffs.

Bears fans took to social media to express their displeasure with Parkey, some in a more aggressive way than others, and Goose Island brewery has heard enough.

Goose Island has sent out the challenge, let’s see who answers.  There are definitely people out there who can hit a 43-yard field goal without the pressure of a defensive line trying to block the attempt which is what actually happened to Parkey’s kick.
