Rawlings Gives South Siders More Machado Speculation

Spring training has now officially begun as catcher and pitchers have started reporting this week, yet Manny Machado and Bryce Harper still remain unsigned.  As the anticipation for where this offseasons biggest two free agent names will sign continues to build, plenty of rumors have linked Machado to the White Sox. Today, the Machado to the White Sox flame gained a little more fuel from an unlikely source.

Rawlings, the company who has a baseball glove deal with Machado, tweeted out a photo of the gloves he will be sporting during the 2019 season.

The gloves feature black/white/silver colors which just happen to be the White Sox team colors and Rawlings took it a step further including, “Where do you think [Machado] will play this season? Is the black and white a sign??”

It’s also worth noting during his time with the Orioles, Machado regularly matched his glove colors with his team uniform often wearing black and orange on his glove so this could actually mean something.  On the same day, Vegas made the White Sox their betting odds favorite to land Machado. It’s all speculation but this can’t hurt the Sox, right?
